Hacking at MIT →
The safety of yourself, of others, and of property should have highest priority. Safety is more important than pulling off a hack or getting through a door.
Be subtle; leave no evidence that you were there.
Brute force is the last resort of the incompetent.
Leave things as you found them or better. Cause no permanent damage during hacks and while hacking. If you find something broken, call...

Endeca patterns is a fantastic resource that lists some of the most consolidated patterns used today in UI design.
Information architects, usability experts and web designers should definitely take a look.

8faces
I just bought out of curiosity the 1st issue of 8faces, a magazine about typography.
The content is of very high quality, but what surprised me the most is how good the magazine looks.
Amazing piece of work (and love, I dare to say).
Everyone with some kind of distant interest in design and especially typography should definitely own a copy.

Supersmart way to have more content on page without putting a lot of crap in your design. SEOs kind of like, too.
Interaction is not so good though, the menu should have been put upside.
